Australian Government Advisor: CSW61 UN Commission on the Status of Women - 2017
Regional Economic Solutions Executive Director, Leann Wilson was selected to join the official Australian Government delegation to the 61st Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW61) held in New York during March 2017.
Project Management and Business advisory support to The BlackCardduring 2016 2017
The BlackCard is a Supply Nation Certified business which delivers cultural programs to businesses and organisations across Australia. Aunt Lilla Watson and Mundanara Bayles are the founders of the business a RES was engaged by The BlackCard to provide project management support, to help them deliver a very large contract to Commonwealth Bank and Bank West, over nine months. This project is part of Commonwealth Bank’s elevate reconciliation action plan.
Business Innovation and Reference Group
RES Director, Leann Wilson was appointed by the Queensland Premier, Anastasia Palaszcuk, as one of 13 members of the newly formed ‘Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Business and Innovation Group’ during the inaugural meeting of the group on the 30th November 2016 in Brisbane.
Australian Government Bidjara Project
Regional Economic Solutions (RES) has been engaged by the Australian Government, via the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s Jobs, Land and Economy Program, to provide specialist services for the Bidjara Project.
RES has undertaken a significant amount of Indigenous engagement and facilitation work on behalf of Santos on the Narrabri Gas Project during 2014 and 2015. This has been targeted around consultation with key Indigenous stakeholders for the project EIS. In addition, broader consultation with the wider Indigenous community has occurred including the native title applicants, Local Aboriginal Land Councils and elders.
